Hi does anyone teach the City Life topic on the OCR specification? I am wondering what your reactions are to the questions. I feel that they do not reflect the specification to some extent, and that students are asked to write answers where there has been only limited information such as the question on the amphitheatre.
Hi Jane, I thought the questions were ok although, quesiton 5 ’City life in Roman Italy was dangerous’ I thought came right out of left field. Luckily my students seem to have avoided it and done one of the other two. I’m guessing it was trying to head the students towards discussing the eruption and you could talk about Ostia’s port and the danger there but what else?
